Rally car
The rally car built by Ian Mutch and the team at Highland Motors

From the owner of the car, John MacLeod

I bought the car back in October 2009. Its previous owner had the car set up for tarmac racing - but I had other ideas! Highland Motors, mainly Iain Mutch went through the process of changing a lot of the parts to make them suitable for forestry rallying. The car would never have been ready in time if it wasnt for the long nights spent in Highland Motors. I really appreciate the time and effort that was put into the car. Now they are one of the main sponsors of the car, including my own company, MacLeod Joinery, and I would like to thank them for all the backing they have given me so far and the future plans!

The car was bought as a hobby, with the idea of doing 3 or 4 rallies a year. I just completed the Thistle Snowman Rally in Inverness on the 20th Feb. We finished 77th out of 123, and thankfully for myself and Highland Motors there was no damage to the car! The rally bug is starting to bite, much to my wife's and Iain's wife's dislike!

The next one in the rally calendar for us is the Granite City in April. Highland Motors are planning a 'working' weekend away to keep up the team support.
